- Found CrossFit in 2008
Sport has always been a part of my life since I can remember. Moving correctly, safely, and effectively have been important elements of my sport background. When I was introduced to CrossFit, I was fortunate enough to have coaches who stressed the importance of safe and efficient movements. Checking one’s ego at the door, and with a strong foundation of the fundamentals, one could build to become stronger and faster. I strive for creating a fun and motivating space for new athletes, who, through their efforts, become stronger and more mentally tough than they thought they could ever be.
Year you started CF, and how you found it?
I was introduced to CrossFit in 2008 by my brother who had found the sport while looking for something more engaging than just “going to the gym”. Having always participated in sports, he felt CrossFit had all of the elements that I enjoyed. In 2013, having had mentors who coached me in CrossFit and Olympic Lifting, I decided to become a coach as well. I specialize in Kettlebells holding a StrongFirst certification (SFG I), and have completed the CrossFit Level 2 certification. I was studying for my CF L3 certificate just prior to being hired for the state. I’ve have had the pleasure of coaching at nine CrossFit gyms between Southern and Northern California.
