- CrossFit Level 2 (CF L2)
As a coach, my #1 goal is to focus on the CrossFit principle of mechanics, consistency, intensity. Everyone wants to get stronger and faster (including me), but the key to achieving those goals safely is solid mechanics. Beyond that it’s important to me to bring energy and enthusiasm to the class as much as I can. I want people to leave the class feeling it was the best hour of their day.
Year You Started CrossFit, and How You Found It:
I discovered it by chance in 2016 after years as a runner, cyclist, and swimmer. It’s no exaggeration to say that CrossFit profoundly changed not just my approach to fitness, but my entire life.
CrossFit Level 2
Before CrossFit, I played club soccer for years, ran marathons, completed numerous cycling centuries, and competed in one Half-Ironman triathlon.
Outside the Box:
I love to travel. I have been all around the United States, have made several trips to Europe, and have spent a lot of time on the beaches of Hawaii.
Random John Fact:
I love chess – and I’m possibly the worst chess player I know.
